Meal-prep for those working out

I recently got into going to the gym and working out. It’s difficult having time for school, staying fit, and having healthy meals ready. This is why meal planning can be a helpful with saving money, time, and eating healthy to gain muscle or stay lean.

NerdFitness has a good step by step process for those who don’t really know where to start. I will overview what they mention and recommend to look throughout the website for those of you who want to meal plan a variety of things.

It provides a sample shopping list

  • Frozen veggies (pick what veggies you like the most
  • Any kind of Chicken (usually grab whats on sale)
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Seasoning of choice (usually salt and pepper)

The website provides steps 1 – 6 with all the cooking instructions and what is needed (like an oven safe making sheet and tupperware needed to pack and put into the fridge). The final product will keep you eating healthy while saving money along the way. This is good habit to keep for supplying your working body with the supplements it needs and not be lazy and fall into temptations for frozen foods and fast food!
